    In June,  QIBA International Business Association hosted the first presentation of Oversea series "How to export more to Europe?" at the Haier Intercontinental Hotel. Mr. René Moerman from the Netherlands shared with everyone the rules of European business and the key points of conducting business activities in Europe summarized from years of practical experience.

    René Moerman, as QIBA Board Member, is an experienced solar and insurance specialist with a passion for sustainability. He worked in 22 countries. He gained his experience by working for the Rabobank, Generali and different insurance companies.Till May 2014 he was Chief Strategy Officer, co-founder and major shareholder of Solarif. A company which insure PV power plants all over the world.

    The presentation began with the Fairness in European Business Practices。René Moerman emphasized that European business culture places a high value on fairness and integrity. This approach can be different from American business practices, where the focus may sometimes lean more towards aggressive sales tactics and rapid transactions. Then René identified what sets your company apart from competitors is essential.

    Mr. René Moerman also shared some key factors for entering the European market and conducted a detailed analysis one by one, including the following aspects:

  1.Focus on the customer experience, including how you communicate with them.

  2.Companies need to be laser-focused on their clients and products.

  3.Expertise in Products, clients prefer dealing with experts.

  4.Language Barriers:Be open about language barriers.

  5.Professional Conduct During Meetings:avoid using your phone during meetings.

  6.One Face Concept.

  7.Company DNA:Know and communicate your company’s core values and mission.

  8.Online Presence Investment.

  9.Third-Party Validation.

  10.Focus on One Country: Concentrate efforts on one target country.

  11.The Power of "No":Understanding the power of 'no' helps in maintaining focus and not overextending resources. It allows companies to concentrate on their core competencies and strategic goals without getting distracted by non-essential opportunities.
