Qingdao International Business Association was invited to participate in the launching ceremony of International Cultural and Tourism Exchanges—"Global Friends@Qingdao ".
In the morning of August 28th, the International Cultural and Tourism Exchanges—"Global Friends@Qingdao" kick-off ceremony was officially launched at Qingdao International Conference Center. Over the past few years, more than 100 international friends from 30 different countries in Qingdao have witnessed the achievements of Qingdao“cultural and tourism exchanges and opened up a new mode of Qingdao” foreign exchanges through cultural tourism.
Among the guests invited to attend the ceremony, there were Wang Yujun, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Thailand in Qingdao, Jingchuan Yuanxian, Consul General of the Consulate General of Japan in Qingdao, Jiang Haozeng, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Qingdao, Sun Lijie, Member of the Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal Committee and Minister of Publicity, Liu Shengzhen, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal People’s Congress, Li Zhongmin, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Zhu Tieyi, Director of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Cecil Lee, Chairman of Qingdao International Business Association, David Zhang, Vice Chairman, and several QIBA honorary members (foreign chambers of commerce or representative offices in Qingdao).
The aim of this event was to strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges with international friends who currently work and live in Qingdao, enhance international friendship, and promote the continuous improvement of Qingdao's international cultural and tourism exchanges.
The guests who attended the ceremony had a chance to watch wonderful shows and visit international cultural and art exhibitions, as well as other performances which created a strong atmosphere of diversity and tolerance.
Sabina from QIBA, on behalf of international friends who live and work in Qingdao, introduced Qingdao route recommendations to the guests, including tourist attractions, food, culture, etc., and won a big round of applause from the audience.
On the same day, QIBA also participated in the "International Bazaar" at the event site, displaying special products from our members companies, both domestic and foreign.
After the event, the guests visited the international cultural and art exhibition together. QIBA Vice Chairman David Zhang introduced the development history and wonderful activities of Qingdao International Business Association to Mr. Jingchuan Yuanxian, Consul General of the Japanese Consulate General in Qingdao.
Next month, International Cultural and Tourism Exchanges"Global Friends@ Qingdao " will organize a number of exciting events. QIBA will also actively cooperate with the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism to help international friends to visit cities in the Jiaodong Economic Circle to enjoy the natural scenery, history and culture of Qingdao, Yantai, Weifang, Weihai and Rizhao, and to fully experience the folk customs.
